I did the IUI today!

Well I did it.  With 14 million sperm.  And two follicles size 16, and 15 mm.  I wanted to wait and let them grow another day but according to my bloodwork i had started my surge already today so they rushed us back in for the IUI.  I layed there for about 5 minutes afterward (nurse said 5 minutes was sufficient) but then when I stood up i felt wet and I think it may have fallen out.  :-(  ...nurse says it's only cm that came out. "The sperm can't fall out."   But I just feel like nothing is going my way lately.  I will be surpised if it's BFP.

I don't know what's the deal with my hubby's sperm, I had expected it to be higher.  And my follicles...  Mature at 16 mm?  I don't know if this was even worth doing the IUI.  I asked the dr. if we should cancel and he insisted everything was fine and ready to proceed.  I just wish I felt better about everything.

The cost of this is running me about $1000 since my insurance doesn't pay for hardly anything.  My dh is not going to agree to do all this too many times b/c of all the time we have spent running back and forth to the dr,  missing work, plus the cost of it all!  ...In fact he's hinting that "this was our one and only chance"

...and i feel like crying

Don't give up too soon now! Hey someone on here was talking bout that woman who only had 2 mature follies at IUI but she ended up with 6 babies cuz they matured on their own and fertilized! Here is the thing if it dosen't work which IT WILL, you at least know where you stand, as far as your eggs, and DH sperm, 14million motile sperm, after the wash is a good number by the way :)  just thought you should know that! So your eggies might be a little slow to grow but they are still trying, they may just need a little more encouragement! Maybe DH will be willing to do it again if it is a little less monitored, that should make the cost go significantly down, mine was only 300 bucks! That was with no u/s though. remember this stresses Hubby too, give him time! NOW we wait!!! (((HUGS)))
