Has anyone ever overcome the fear, worry and dread when something medically goes wrong with their child.

Well, this is a continuation of part one of my journal today, the first part is called " Taking life for Granted" well no more.

I guess I am more worried than I guessed I would be, but if you would be kind enough to read part one, you will see just why I am so distraught at this time.

I am just home from hospital with my son, and cannot stop worrying about him, even though he is now already out playing football with his sister, I am absolutely worried sick, so much so that I cannot focus in on much else.

Please Medhelp people, help me when I really need it, I have never asked for help on this forum before!!!!!!

Distraught Sharon :(

I responded to your other journal.

Did the drs put any restrictions on what your son does - like being quiet, no running, etc.?

I understand the anguish and I am here to offer my  support to you.

As I said in my PM to you...I don't want to sound too bezzare but I don't trust too many doctors... they are too busy and maybe not so experienced to treat conditions  like your son's.
Be vigilant and do not take NO for an answer. They should reffer your son to the best CARDIOLOGIST there is in your country.
Love Sunes.

Say, Sharon, in 1990 Hildegard was told she had five years to live. No if, ands or buts. Last night that sure didn't feel like a ghost hand slapping me around! Try to be as positive as you can.. remember, worrying does nothing for you or for your little boy. Turn that energy used for worrying into making good times for the little fella.. no, not because he's going away, if you look deep inside you'll know that's not true.. just have lotsa fun with him because that's what YOU need right now. I know it's so easy for me to say, but be positive, positive, positive. You of all people should be able to see that all will turn out well, just accept that. Oh sure, let the doctors do their thing, but concentrate more on the facts ("he is now already out playing football with his sister") than on worst case scenarios. If there's anything I can do from this end (remember, both Icepick and Sweetling have long experience in the medical profession.. Sweetling as a nurse and Icepick in administration, which means she's seen thousands of cases beginning to end).
