I did 4 flights today and just got to OKC. Tomorrow is a very long day. I go from OKC to Chicago and then a JFK turn. So I will be done by 4pm.  I told my sister about this website and I hope she join me in this phase of my life.

Many people tell me that I will have to get use to the pain. Am doing my best but I guess am not there yet. I beleive that I will found a way to get rid of this pain.  Am trying to work with my anxiety which I beleive is 60% responsible of my back and spasms but the more pain I have the more stressed out I am.

Too bad am working today and my doctor who is in Puerto Rico is on vacation. Today I took my Lyrica, Lodine and the Flexeril and no improvement at all.

As i know by now I have better days than others, hopefully tomorrow will be a better one.

As a flight attendant get a TENS unit pain ***** and waiting on others as well as keeping them safe is a huge responsibility. A good massage therapist and accupuncturist can do wonders. Best of luck.

I just wanted to let you know that people care, and I am glad you are here. It helps to write about the pain. I do hope tomorrow will be better for you. ((((Olivo)))

The suggestions you got were great ones, and I agree with them.

I also know anxiety increases pain and pain increases anxiety and there has to be something thrown into the cycle that will help stop it. I hope you find the answer soon!

Love and healing,
Emily

My sister was a flight attendant with U.S. Airways.  She injured her neck on two separate occasions, once on a flight there was turbulence that caused her to fall backwards and another at the terminal tripped over someone's luggage.  She had to have two separate cervical spine surgeries.  She had to go back to teaching due to unable to close the hatch/door.  Didn't have enough strength.   Did you injury yourself on the job also?

I myself have had two cervical spine surgeries and the last one permanently paralyzed my right vocal cord due to recurrent laryngeal injury and and to get an implant twice.

If you end up having surgery and they do the surgery anterior, ask about if they have testing of the recurrent laryngeal nerve while they are doing surgery.   If I were to have another anterior cervical spine surgery and this happened to my other vocal cord, I would be in a world of trouble.

Good luck.

Judy
