Update on who/where I am right now

Jul 18, 2008 12:01AM - 5 comments

Just kinda blogging a little bit so i can remember this part of my journey
i had a colonoscopy today (yeah the prep really made me sick)
the nurse anesthetist gave me the max meds she can adimister and i was still awake
i remember quite alot but praise god i do not remember the pain

so i drove 3.5 hrs to the hosp to get the colonoscopy then drove the 3.5 hrs back
(and yes thats how far away i have to go for my surgery as well)
the colonoscopy was squeaky clean and well kinda interesting

so when i get home my daughter brings in the mail and in it is a letter from the
radiologist that did my mammogram that there are bilateral "changes" since baseline
so im thinking i can run around tomorrow and get radiologist report etc for my doctors
in charleston and hopefully when they do the tah/bso they can do a biopsy on the breasts ... gonna be
recovering anyway why not get it all in one shot LOL

well ... while dwelling on my dilemma the other day i was moved to pray and pray alot
but not for myself for anyone in pain or hurting or in need of prayer ... i have done this since
i first started praying at 16 and i have always known that god hears me
i realize when ur sick its hard to even remember what is is u want to ask god and i know there
are even soe people who do not know how to ask god for their own needs so i decided it was
time for me to pray for those named and unnamed people who need prayer or god or just to know
they have been heard and are valuable to this world and to god ... i used to peruse all the posts searching
people i could pray for and then it dawned on me to start a thread ... i will continue to check it
so that i can pray for anyone who pops up with a concern or a need

i will answer any prayer request sent to me with the best of my human ability
and i will pray for all those with "unnamed" requests that they cant even bring themselves
to ask ... for god knows the heart's of all and he knows what it is u want and need ... so if ur reading
this lil journal please know ur father in heaven hears u and loves u and wants to fill u with his peace

love to all
father richly bless all those who read this post
amen
sharon

Thanks, Sharon.  Wonderfully written and so true.  I personally will become uptight or worried about my cancer and then all of a sudden I am calm and I KNOW someone(s) is praying for me.  God Bless You.  Judy C

Thank you Sharon, as always, for your prayers. I believe in prayers!!! Many, many times in my life has prayer helped me immensely and others too.  I will keep you in my prayers also and pray that they can do a biopsy at the same time as your other surgery. If my surgery hadn't been an emergency, I would have said "take it all while you are in there, lol".  Hugs to you Sharon,
Colleen

Hi Sharon,
Thank you for being such a caring, giving person even with all your own health issues to deal with.
I'm sorry you had to get that news just after you got home from the test and the long trip, it must have been just overwhelming. I know that with your strong faith and determination, you will just keep fighting on no matter what you have to do. I also hope they can do everything that has to get done in one surgery, I think I'm at the point too that when I finally go in and have mine, I'm ready to tell them to just get out the whole shooting match... since it's been misfiring anyway for so long..
Were you able to get your records today? Let me know how you made out.
You must be so tired today after the day you had yesterday, try to rest up over the weekend..
Hugs
Valerie
