And I heard, as it were, the noise of thunder: One of the four beasts saying: "Come and see." And I saw. And behold, a white horse.

There's a man goin' 'round takin' names. An' he decides who to free and who to blame. Everybody won't be treated all the same. There'll be a golden ladder reaching down. When the man comes around.

The hairs on your arm will stand up. At the terror in each sip and in each sup. Will you partake of that last offered cup, Or disappear into the potter's ground. When the man comes around.

Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers. One hundred million angels singin'. Multitudes are marching to the big kettle drum. Voices callin', voices cryin'. Some are born an' some are dyin'. It's Alpha's and Omega's Kingdom come.

And the whirlwind is in the thorn tree. The virgins are all trimming their weiss. The whirlwind is in the thorn tree. It's hard for thee to kick against the priests.

Till Armageddon, no Shalam, no Shalom. Then the father hen will call his chickens home. The wise men will bow down before the throne. And at his feet they'll cast their golden crown. When the man comes around.

Whoever is unjust, let him be unjust still. Whoever is righteous, let him be righteous still. Whoever is filthy, let him be filthy still. Listen to the words long written down, When the man comes around.

In measured hundredweight and penny pound. When the man comes around.

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts, And I looked and behold: a pale horse. And his name, that sat on him, was Death. And Hell followed with him.

I didn't write that song; Johnny Cash did and he was a real believer.  I listen to that song all that time - the combination of the music and the lyrics make it powerful and irrestistable.

The seven deadly sins on a global scale ....

It's Alpha and Omega's kingdom come ....

Isn't God the Alpha and the Omega?  Can HE and the Christ save us like jimi1822 said?

Evil doesn't always have horns and carry a pitchfork, it's much more subtle than that.  Evil flourishes because so many don't believe in it.

Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Amen bro! Evil is spiritual unseen by the naked eye! Yeah man Satan is much clever than that! That's why he is called the father of all lies, the master of deception having people 2 believe n something that isn't true! Tails n pitch fork if he can get you to believe that then he has done his job!! Just like my last post bar code, people crack jokes about it the same with this one people crack jokes! Yes Satan is the master of deception & the father of all lies! But the 4 horsemen will ride & conquer this earth on Gods comand then it won't be a joke then will it! Accept Christ n2 ur lives today 4 tomorrow isn't promised!!

by lonewolf07, Jul 02, 2008 01:29AM
That's how the Evil One works.  He seems harmless, innocuous, like everybody else but he isn't.  Making us not believe in evil is his way of making sure evil is everywhere.  But we have HIM and the Christ to save us, thankfully and HE can see everything, from the smallest sparrow falling to us - humans.

by boldsojah4christ, Jul 02, 2008 12:40PM

You're right .... I heard a story a little while ago about a child who saw God.  The child said, "I don't believe in God" to which God replied, "That's alright.  Because I believe in you."  It's an old story but it does make me think that's what God is all about - he believes in us.

Amen bro! Gods word will never!! return void no matter how old it is.He said n his word that heaven n earth will pasds away b4 his word will isnt that awesome God bless!!

boldsojah4christ, lol, you keep calling lonewolf "bro" when she's a "sister"! Lol. Sorry, I couldn't resist! :D I just noticed that. She's so nice too she didn't even say anything! ;)

Hey you guys, you should read "Storming Towards Armagedon". It will make your hair stand on end. It's really fascinating. I read that book when I first came to Christ about 15 years ago. It just shows how Bible prophecy relates to today and what's happening in the world today. It's pretty interesting.
I've always been interested in the prophecies and the future.

Just something to ponder, do you think Jesus will return in our time? Or in our children's time? And why? I'd just be interested in what you all thought.

Do you think we'd recognize Him?  Or reject Him?  Maybe He is here and we can't see Him.  Interesting question.  I wonder how any of us would react?

by el_dave, Jul 08, 2008 08:48PM
Wolfie, we'd probably react about the same as we did almost 2,000 years ago. We haven't gotten any better, we've only gotten more numerous and more apathetic. And yes, perhaps He has arrived, indeed. We just can't see Him amongst the multitudes we're busy nailing to crosses.

I was looking all over for you, and here you are!

Yep, here I am .... a safe place after reading about the G8 Summit  = (

by April2, Jul 08, 2008 11:30PM
No, He can't be here yet. He said in His Word that the whole world would know when He comes back. EVERY knee shall bow and EVERY tongue confess that He is the Lord. And people will look on Him and mourn because they rejected Him. He isn't going to come as a humble babe this time. He will ride in on a white horse when the trumpet sounds and will bring a host of angels with Him. At that point He will seperate the tarrow from the wheat, the goats from the sheep and will bring back the believers to Heaven with Him. Then He will return with a host of angels and believers to rule the Earth for 1,000 years. Satan will be thrown into hell and not allowed to tempt people at that time. For the first time since Eden the Earth will experience true peace, but only under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Before that happens, though, the world will experience such a terrible time that it has never experienced before. We will go through a tribulation time. Some people disagree whether Jesus will first take out the believers before this time of tribulation (known as the Rapture) or if we will have to go through at least part of it. It's pretty interesting.

Still, nobody really answered my question. Do any of you think Jesus will come back during our time or our children's time? And why do you think yes or no? I'd really be interested in everyone's opinion.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you all! Thanks!

I just read this post and I believe that HE is coming SOON!!! In our time!! This world is full of hate and destruction. People are BUSY, busy with life, work, children, and too much time is spent on "ME". And while we are busy the devil laughs, we are too busy to pay attention to GOD and his love for US. If more people would cast their eyes toward heaven and stop looking in the mirror they just might make it to heaven. I myself am guilty of being too busy. I now have a since of urgency in my heart to KNOW GOD. I fear that I will not make it to heaven but I will pray everyday that I do. My DD is 11 months old and I am so scared for her to grow up in this world.  Now is the time to prepare for JESUS!!!
The clock is ticking and devil is silently waiting and he is taking a hold of more people. Pray Pray Pray, NO ONE wants to be here after the rapture it will be HELL on earth. GOD bless everyone.

by lonewolf07, Jul 09, 2008 03:13AM
HE could already be here.  If we go by the Scriptures word by word, we know who HE isn't - right now at least.  The white horse - could that be a white buffalo?  Don't laugh.  In Native traditions, the birth of a white buffalo says "it's our turn" that's my translation, not as flowery as most and we don't usually ride buffalo.  A white buffalo calf was born some years ago and in Canada recently the government apologized to us after years of pretending atrocities towards us didn't happen.  It's not "our time" completely but it's a beginning.

Do you remember that story about a person who said he didn't believe in God and God said, "That doesn't matter.  I believe in YOU."  I don't believe in a vengeful God ready to punish us; if HE was like that HE would never have sent HIS Son to earth.  If HE or His Son return in our time HE will tell us - I think - to stop fighting in HIS name and take care of the earth and everything on it, including each other because HE made us caretakers of the earth and we're doing a really bad job of it right now.  HE and HIS Son didn't teach hate although the good Lord did lose His temper with those money changers in the temple.

HIS time is probably not like our time.  HE will come when HE is ready.  No matter how bad we might be, HE wants to forgive anyone who wants forgiveness.

Now comes the part where no one will talk to me again.  I think God, Allah, Bhudda - whatever name is used is the Almighty.  Jesus, Mohammed, etc. none of them taught the horrors we are seeing today.  For those who believe in Jesus, didn't He say to love thy neighbor as thyself?  In a world that has become a global village, our neighbors are no longer the folks next door but the folks on the other side of the planet.  The roads of most religions lead to Heaven and He**.  That's how I interpret HIS teachings.

El diablo has been among us for years.  We can't always recognize him.  I doubt if I could recognize HIM if HE came to earth during my lifetime.  I just pray that HE recognizes me or my descendants.

lonewolf, God and Jesus is not Budda. Budda was a person who lived on this earth and taught good things but died and was buried. They have proof of that. Jesus is the only one who claimed to be the son of God. Budda never claimed to be God or the son of God. Jesus is also the only one who was raised from the dead. They have no body because there is no body to be found.
Allah is a bit more complex. Allah is the Old Testament God that the Muslims believe in. The Muslims believe in everything that is in the Old Testament like Moses and Abraham, etc. but they reject Jesus as being the Messiah.

That is the difference between Christianity and all other religions. It all comes down to Jesus and whether you believe He is the Messiah, the chosen one, the Christ, the son of God, and that He really did die on a cross to take the sins of the world on Himself so that we wouldn't have to take the punishment of our sins. It was all put on Him. He was the perfect lamb that was sacrificed once and for all for all mankind. No longer do we have to have sacrifices. Jesus did away with that. All we have to do is accept His generous gift and put our trust in Him. It really is that simple! People try to make it more complicated than that. He made it simple enough, though, that a little child could understand. In fact we are told to have the faith of a little child. In other words, to just believe.

Becca, you don't have to afraid of whether you will go to Heaven or not. If you have placed your trust in the Lord Jesus and accepted Him as Lord in your life, then you are saved. Yes, He wants us to spend time with Him because He loves us and wants a relationship with us. But we are living in a time of grace. We are no longer under the law. "There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus". The more you get to know Him, the more you will love Him and the more time you will want to spend with Him. It's like any relationship. You have to really get to know Him first and you can only do that by reading and spending time in the Word and prayer.
I hope this helps and puts your mind at ease a bit.
God bless you guys!

Boldsojah4christ, where are you? I'd love to hear your input on all of this. :)

by April2, Jul 09, 2008 10:59AM
Becca, spend time in the New Testament for awhile, not the Old Testament. The New Testament is where you will really get to know Jesus. The OT is good for it's history, etc. but it's more important right now to just really get to know who Jesus is. The OT can be a bit hard to get through until you really know God and your faith is really strong. Although the Proverbs and Psalms are good to read. The book of John is a good one to start with.
Just wanted to pass that on.
I kind of know how you feel. I haven't been spending much time in the Word lately, although I pray every day. Still, it's the Word that feeds us and fills our cup up again for the day. When we aren't spiritually fed then we can dry up real quick. I've seen that personally. It's also easier to fall for the devil's temptations and schemes. They say Satan's best tool that he uses is discouragement. Boy, I sure believe that!
Do you go to church? Try and keep yourself surounded by other believers. That helps build up your faith too and makes it harder for the devil to trip you up. He sure is busy on this earth anymore. That's why it's so important for us to keep our eyes on Jesus and not on our suroundings. Best wishes.

Christiany, Judaisim and Islam had their roots in Abraham.  Regarding Bhudda, I'm talking about his teachings, his spirit not him as a human being.  Same with Hinduism.  I can't see HIM and HIS Son turning their backs on anyone.

Thank you for your explanations.  Some of what you wrote I already knew, some I did not.

IMHO even Jesus would embrace and accept faiths other than his own.  HE loves everybody.  God is the ultimate in being open-minded.

I respect your beliefs and sure wish you'd respect mine.  My partner is a former Jesuit and they question everything and some of it has worn off on me.

I am withdrawing from this "discussion".
