I am NOT obsessed!

Seriously, I'm not obsessed! A month or so ago my husband decided to buy the first season of "Stargate SG-1" and I rolled my eyes. I hate sci-fi. He started watching the episodes late at night while I was blogging and the kids were in bed... and every now and again I'd look over and get caught in the storyline.

And eventually I ended up on the couch next to him, enthralled with the story! Pathetic, I know. But now I like Stargate even more than him! We're now into season 7 (there's 10 altogether, and also a couple of movies and a continuation called "Stargate Atlantis").

I guess the reason I like it so much is because of all the science and the fact that it's really not that far-fetched and is in modern times, instead of the future. I also LOVE the characters.

So what is your favorite TV show and why? Doesn't have to be a recent or new show either!

haha!! Well my favorite show comes on Lifetime. Called "The Golden Girls".
My grandmother had me watching it a LONG time ago. It's just hilarious. Four old
women who are sassy, full of sexuality, and attitudes!!! It's again, HILARIOUS.
First time I watched it I didnt like it. But now I watch it every day at 8:00/:30, 3:00/:30
and 12:00/:30!! LOL

They aren't old women  LOL  The oldest woman, Sofia, is a role model.  We should all be like her when we're in our 80s  = )

Going back to watch SpongeBob Squarepants now ....

I was well into Star-Trek, but I've seem them so many times... I need a break for a few years.

Now though, I have all three season of LOST IN SPACE!!! You can't beat it.

I went into labor seeing  Strargate the movie...lol...My husband loves all the sci-fi shows...he watches Stargate and Battlestar Galactica...all of them...I love love Sci Fi ....I like all the Law and Order Shows...

Crabby - when my youngest was born, I was going to call her Luke had she been a boy.  She was born when Star Wars came out.  #1 son named his son Lucas and he is a Star Wars fanatic.  Law and Order Shows, how could I have forgotten those.  They're actually good.

Everyone keeps raving about Battlestar Galactica! Where the heck have I been? LOL! I'm truly not a sci-fi fan at all. Stargate is actually more of a comedy than a drama. The bully from "Encino Man" is the brother of the director for Stargate. So they're just a bunch of goofs!

OMG Joy, my husband is obsessed with Stargate and was so upset when it went off the air.  He of course is into Stargate Atlantis and is anticipating another movie or series (can't remember which).  It's a given around my house that we do not do anything on Friday nights when it's in season because he will be at home to watch the shows.  I have to admit (just between me and you and never to him), that I find it a little interesting here and there.  I watched Stargate SG1 with him and now I watch Atlantis.

krushing, ha ha!!! Okay, my lips are sealed. But I love SG-1!!! I haven't seen Atlantis yet. They made Ark of Truth and I think there's supposed to be a second movie but I'm not sure since I'm still in the 8th season.

I just can't believe I actually like a sci-fi. I'm having withdrawals. We didn't watch any last night! My fave is Dr. Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks). And IRL I'm the most like Jack O'Neill personality wise. Very snappy and sassy and I actually say a lot of the things he says, and even some of the body language/facial expressions (BEFORE I watched the show)! It's awesome. I'm such a nerd!

Jack O'Neill and Daniel Jackson was my husband's favorites.  He almost stopped watching it when Jack O'Neill left the show.  And Samantha Carter is on Atlantis, but the others didn't make the transformation like her.

My husband is all the time telling me I should watch more.  That it's based on roman mythology or something like that.  But, I have to annoy him and pretend I don't enjoy having to sit at home and watch it!  :-)

"American Idol".....;o/ rofl but it's true. and i like, That's 70's show, survivor, also a few others when they are not on for season. I miss the old shows..Like "laugh In"......LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That show cracked me up. I also like Larry the Cable Guy...QQ..yea i know but i think he is funny..needs new material tho.  I enjoy laughing period. ya gotta laugh even at yer own self. We actually watch alot of movies.

Krushing, it's got a lot of Egyptian mythology. But the gods aren't actually gods. They're aliens impersonating gods. Sounds weird to type it out like that but it's interesting!!! LOL! I'm in the season where Jack leaves so I'm going to be pretty bummed. At least Daniel Jackson stays to the end of the series!

snoozies, I watch So You Think You Can Dance (my fave summer show)! I only liked the first season of Survivor. Did you ever see "To Tell the Truth"?

CaliGirl... I forgot about Alf! And what about that family of dinosaurs? I don't remember what they're called. And Fragglerock. Growing Pains... awww... memories!!!

I We also watch "so you think you can dance" roflll. i think they are cool. and yes i remember The "Old" shows of to tell the truth. good show.. The last season of survivor was awesome. We watch when we can.

Prison break. I wathched one episode and I was hooked I  watched every season in a row until I was done. The kids were busy making a mess and even though I am a neat freak I did not care. Great Show

Ok I'm going out on a limb here Xena is my all time fav.. Have the series spent the first 4 yelling at Gabriel.....
I'm currently taking a break but have been thinking about pulling it out again.
We also watch SG1 Hubby loves sci-fi I also like twilight zone old and newer :)

Mollyrae, LOST is my second fave show! I was daydreaming about whether or not they get back to the island just last night!!! LOL! Can't wait for it to start up again!

XENA! Did anyone else watch Sinbad? I was in love with the guy who played Sinbad. I was like 12 or 13! LOL!

Joy I just wanted to tell you... that I know what you are going threw with Stargate. My older sister is a sci-fi nerd and loves all that stuff and when we were little she rented the Stargate movie (the first movie) and then once the show started she would always make me watch the show because we shared a TV. Well... even though I hate sci-fi I found myself dragged in and then every night it was on (can't remember what day back then) I would sneak into her room and watch it with her. I loved the whole aspect of other worlds and the mythology that went with it! My new favorite show is Top Chef... love the battles plus it makes me hungry and excited to try new recipes every time (not that I cook lol!)

I use to watch quite a bit of TV but now that my son is here I dont have time.... I watch Rachael Ray in the morning and thats about it... I am kind of obsessed... I have her pots and pans and I always see a utensil that she has that I want wether it be hers or a different brand..... The sad thing is I REALLY DONT COOK TOO MUCH.... That is really sad huh!

An actor from Stargate died at the end of June. He played General Hammond. His name in real life is Don S. Davis. He died of a major heartattack. :*-(
