Problem with Thyroid, but no answer! Please help!

by liberty27, Oct 14, 2008 04:17PM
I have had several blood tests done and the only thing showing up is the TPO level being 134 in a range of 0-34.  I have MRI and MRA's and nothing showing up.  I have also had a thyroid ultrasound and they say there is a thickening of the thyroid.  I have all these symtoms that do not go away.  It all started with muscle pain and weakness of the legs, now I have alot going on in the neck.  I have alot of throbbing pain, trouble breathing sometimes, some pain that goes down into the chest and upper back on the right side, ear pain on both sides off and on.  These pain symtoms usually happen once or twice a day lasting anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or more.  I am only 37 feel like I am much older.  I am so frustrated and I just want an answer to what I have.  The pain in my neck is getting so bad at times, it scares me.  Please, if someone can help, please do.

Ok two simple things.

Possibly the pain in the neck could be thyroiditis very common with Hashimoto on the antibody testing,

2 - Thickening of the thyroid - be more specific

3- Where are your TSH and T's or Free T's lab testing numbers? That tells alot.

It sounds like in addition to a thyroid condition you have something else also going on, have you ever been tested for fibromyalga?? also about the thyroid when you swallow do you feel a lump on the inside as if a piece of food was stuck in your throat?  agree ith above a lot of your symptoms sound like hashimots
