reoccuring fever

by mommy4453, Oct 03, 2008 12:45AM
My 2 and 1/2 year old daughter has had reoccuring high fevers for about 10 months now.  All urine, stool, and blood tests were negative or normal.  She saw infectious disease specialist, blood and cancer specialist, and allergen and immunoligist.  We finally decided to go see a pediatric urologist who said she may have urine reflux even with no evidence of urine infections.  We did a kidney ultrasound and a test to check for urine reflux.  Both showed abnormal and she has urine reflux.  This is easily corrected by surgery.  Please please go get these tests done and see a pediatric urologist.  Many children do outgrow this condition by age five but it may have lasting kidney damage if not corrected.  I really believe that many of these reoccuring fever stories are related to the kidneys.  Please get this checked out and good luck!!
