Provera, thick uterine lining

by SooooooStressed, Aug 27, 2008 12:54PM
I had a thickened lining of the uterus as seen thru several ultrasounds.
Doc gave me 10 days of PROVERA.
I bleed and had heavy heavy clots being released.
When period ended I went to followup ultrasound (transvag & pelvic)
Just got results and the lining is STILL the same thickness (16 to 18 perhaps..I dont remember)
Doc is now on vacation until next wednesday and I can recieve no answers.
Any help to ease my mind about the heck is going on and if this could be cancer?
The nurse there at the office is just blowing me off but this is happening to ME and I am SCARED!
Thanks for any help...

Thank you so much for your response!  :-)
I am still being very mental about this because the unknown just brings me down.
I am an impatient patient!

Anyone else out there...?

Thanks so much...

I was told that my uterine lining is thicker than normal at an ultrasound I had recently.  No explanation as to what might cause this either.  I am having a lap done this coming 16th,  we will see what they find then,  good luck.  I have been looking around the internet & can't seem to find an answer as to what this means.

i just had the same thing, 2 ultrasounds, they told me my lining was thick. put me on provera for 30 days. everything i keep reading says this happens in premenopausal, etc. i'm 31... and, everything i read says something about cancer. my grandma had cervical cancer when i was a baby. guess i'm a little concerned, too.
