WBCs question

Hi all I have a friend who was also on infergen, she was unable to finish Txing.
She finished infergen the end of May, she went in for a cbc and her levels are so low. This long after tx.
Has anyone else had this happen?
What was the treatment for it?
What was the final solution?
Anyone? thanks!

I doubt there is not much difference, between infergen and regular inteferons.
went to my primary doc for a routine overdue physical. he ordered the routine blood tests for levels and cholesterol and stuff. the office called me today concerned that my white count and platelette levels are going down. i guess at 6 weeks after getting off the "poison" the white cell level only came up to 2.7, now down to 2.4 i've been off treatment since 5/ 28/08. anna says that my red count is good, liver functions good, what's up!!!!
She saw the Gi and followed up with this:
well, i saw today. he kinda said that he has never seen anything like this. he's going to talk to the doctors and what's his name to see if they have seen this. we will do another blood test in 2 weeks. if no change or levels go down, they are going to refer me to a blood specialist. his (s thoughts are that the problem is in my bone marrow, maybe lingering "poison" or something. liver functions are good, probably no tumors or cancer there. hope you are hanging in there. thanks for listening
