I'm scared if I have HIV

Hello Doctor,

I had sex with a prostitute around april or may 2006.
I was on top of her.As soon as I started within about 5 min , i heared a bursting sound
and she said condom broke. I got sweat at the right moment
and took mine out after may be a stroke and saw that the condom
broke. I observed and found there was no liquid on my penis, but was afraid
and asked her if she has HIV. she said no. But I was constantly
worried if I would have got HIV. Within a week, I tested for HIV.
I don't remember the name of the HIV test exactly but the person said enzyme something and
its very accurate. I'm still confused if it was a
HIV antibody test or a viral load test. But the result was given in less
than two hours. It was negative. I was relaxed then.

After that I was never sick. I don't remember having a common cold or flu this two years.
By January when I was brushing in the morning one day , I saw that hairlike
white skin particles are coming out from both of my cheeks and there was small white hairlike
particles on both the side of my toungue. I rubbed
on it with my brush and got most of them removed from cheek, but not tongue and thought it came as I
had lot of whiskey the before night and because of the heat.

And then I noticed that it never went . Every morning something would be
sticking which i remove by brushing, but it doesn't
completely goes of. some white traces would be there.
four months before I went to my university clinic and said that I have these since like 4 months.
the lady asked if I smoke and if I have diabeties.I said I smoke
often and I don't think I have diabetes. She gave some
tablet which I don't remember the name and asked to keep it
in both sides of cheek for sometime and swallow.
But I noticed nothing was effective. It remained the same.
After that I didn't have time to go to her again.
three weeks before I went to her again saying that the white
hairlike things were not gone and she asked if I have HIV.
It shocked me. And then I asked if I have to take any test.
She said let's try this medicine and gave me "NYSTATIN" 10,000 units or something was
written on it. I used it as prescribed to keep in mouth
for 5 to 10 mins and i did the same, it was not
effective too. I googled for nystatin and found tat
they use it for oral thrush and it shd get away
within the treatment or its a sympotom of HIV.
Im very much stressed since three weeks.
It gets better in the afternoon after I have my food and gets back again in the morning.
My mouth is usually dry always.
Would it be a thrush and symptom of HIV?
Please advise me doctor.

thrush can happen to anyone...hiv or not.

if you have had unprotected intercourse...and didnt test out til 3 months after your potential exposure...then you need to do so.  NOT because i think you have hiv...but because it's just good to know.

I'm feared only about the thrush people talk about. I'm still not sure if it's  a thrush. I don't feel any pain and if I expand my cheeks to see what it is, there are small hair like structures which are scattered in some places and it looks white when my cheek is normal.

I saw in some posts tat it would not be thrush if it doesn't go by treating with Nystatin..

I'm scared to death.

See your doctor if you have a concern. You can't diagnose it yourself.

Don't get the cart before the horse. If you test positive I'll kindly take the time and explain it to you.
