I dont think there's a welcome comittee on here. Spoke to one nice guys yesterday. Did another Post today see what happens. Give it a try it couldnt hurt. There big into the reallity of the situation so some  of the info might be had to take. but they really are trying to help. Read some other peoples Posts .See how you get on .

Hi and welcome to the forum! Sorry that you didn't get a welcome when you first joined but the board is slower on weekends with people trying to get things done.
I certainly hope you don't quit something as important as addiction!! We're here for you and want to help but please understand that at times the board is slower than other times and things get overlooked, although never intentionally!
Please stick around with us and give us another shot! This is truly the kindest group of people that I've run across and all anyone here wants to do is be supportive and remain clean or get clean.

Hi!  I'm relatively new here too (12 days), and I hope you don't let that deter you.  I didn't get a "welcome" either (officially), but literally, within about 3 days, I connected to 3 or 4 people that are so similar to me, it's scary. Everyone here is really supportive and ready to help you.  Just post a question and I guarantee you'll see what I mean.  

Congratulations for making the decision to post here...it's a great start!

welcome.... if you need to get off drugs this is the place to be.  (16 days clean)  I  came here back in march and never followed through kept abusing opiates and july 4th i had enough of this crazy stuff and decided this is it and have stuck to this forum almost every day.  wonderful people here. i hope you stay here if you have a problem.  sorry no welcome.  the forum seems very busy at times.  lots of luck to ya.  maria

I don't buy that's the only reason you want to quit....why don't you tell us a bit about yourself. and what's going on....there are slow times when some of us are sleeping. However, I did notice a community leader welcomed you 2 days ago...

We welcome anyone with open arms.... sometimes...if we don't see the second you joined it can be overlooked...we are human. Please feel free to post what's going on and we are glad to help you...that's what we are here for!

You are welcome to this forum.....lots of great people with genuine interest and a working knowledge of addiction issues first hand.

Don't throw in the towel so early....if you are here like most of us, you will need a certain amount of intestinal fortitude and a winning mindset to overcome an addiction. It isnt fun nor easy - but it can be done. Keep posting and you will meet some interesting and helpful people. good luck -

Welcome..sometimes its alittle tough as we are all in different times zones around the world but you do get answers once all these wonderful people are online..I am new to this two..Have been doing a taper and am on day 6, Gone from 200mg of oxy to 40mg in just days..so its alittle rough..would love to hear about you and how your doing so do like the others have said..tell us alittle about yourself..if its help and support you need this is the place to find it...These people are angels sent somewhere...I would not be where I am without them...stick around and join the family here ...you will not regret it..

First of all welcome.  If you feel like throwing in the towel just because others didn't take time to welcome you, you have a rough road ahead of you.  You will find endless amounts of valuable information here so stick around and learn from recent as well as old posts.  Sometimes we don't always respond immediately, but from experience on some of the other boards on this site it is much faster here.  I've waited days to get a response on other boards. Please be a little patient with us as we get busy with our own lives and sometimes forget to thank and welcome the newcomers.  I am relatively new here also, but everyone is welcome here.

I am sorry no one answered u when u posted the first time not welcomed u...what time was it and what day was it?..no one is paid to answer the forum and people do it out the goodness of their heart and with the spare time that we have,,,which for some is not alot...throwing in the towel that quickly is not the answer....people are great here on this forum but can not be expected to respon around the clock as people work, have families and lives...we do the best we can tho...sorry you felt negatively when u posted....it is not a "job" tho for anyone and everyone here does the best they can...if u stick around u will find that out
