new to the site

Hi,
I just got on this website.  It is very assuring to read everybodys posts.  About a year ago we found out m husband has a missig vas deferns.  We have to have icsi performed along with ivf. I was scheduled to start my shots tommarrow, but the ultrasound showed a cyst outside my overys.  I took birth control for a month hoping to shrink the cyst, but I guess it didnt.  I am so lt down right now.  There is a chance my blood work willcome back and I might get to start the shots.  I will keep everyone up to date on what is happening. This wil be my first ivf cycle, and dont know anyone who has ever gone through ivf.  Im glad I found this website.

I have not personally gone through IVF - we were just about too when our last IUI worked (but then sadly miscarried at 9.5 weeks, so we might be heading to IVF afterall!)  But i just want to wish you luck! this is a WONDERFUL site and everyone is so helpful! a lot of people have gone through IVF with great success stories! and I hope that you will be one very soon! keep us updated on your cyst and when you get to start your injections! : )  GOOD LUCK! My prayers are with you and your dh!

Welcome!  I don't really have any experience with IVF, so I can't really give you any advice, but I think you came to the right place!  The women here are wonderful and I'm sure that you will be able to find the help you need.  We all understand the various TTC struggles and their ups and downs.  I wish you all the best and hope that things work out for you.

Hi, I am in the process of the IVF journey now.  I started my Lupron shots this past Monday and on July 28th I go in for my supression check and if everything checks out then I can start my Follistem on Tuesday the 29th.  I have several friends who have been through the IVF process. If you want to talk send me a note and good luck I am sure you will do great.  The women on here are FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the comment back.  The doctor told me to go ahead and start my meds.  My h level was really low so they I had a polycyst and it really wasnt a worry.  I have 8-10 days of menepor, and gonl f, and then the egg retreivel.  I have a lot of follicles, and the doctors think they will get a lot of eggs, and embroys.  Im so excited, and I hope it works.  Thank you again I will keep you posted.

When are they going to harvest your eggs?  The 29th is my tenative retrievel date.  Then the transfer on the 3rd of Aug.  I would like to chat sometime, it looks like we are close to the same schedule.  How are you feeling?  I am doing well feeling really good this morning.

Welcome!  I've been through IVF! Its quite the exciting process!  I'm happy to hear you will most likely have a lot of eggs-I don't and I'm only 28!  I'm so excited and I hope the first time works for you! I got pg the first time with IVF but miscarried at 6w4d.  sad.  Anyway, we are all excited for you and keep us posted!

I am feeling good no real side effects to complain about.  My retrievel will be after the 29th I don't have an exact date yet but we are close.  How are you feeling?

Thank you for posting back.  You girls all keep me going.  My shots are for sure different.  My thigh stings from the last shot, but Im not as scared as I first was.  I let my huband give them because I cant yet.  I will keep you girls posted.
