hi
last week i had a pap smear done and i got a call saying that it was abnormal(that there was cell imflamation) at the time of the pap i did not know that i was pregnanent i also had sex the night before getting the pap done. i was told that they were going to due some additional test to make sure i did not have hpv. could the abnormal pap be caused by me being pregnant at the time of the pap ? what are the chances of me having hpv? please help ....

Hi There
It sounds like you are getting good care with appropriate follow up.
Inflammation is common. HPV (human papillomavirus infection) is common as well. most of the time, one would just rep[eat the pap smear.
best wishes
