blisters on face, swollen jaw

by swollenjaw, Jul 12, 2008 04:52PM
I first had blisters in my mouth but thought it was stress.  Then blisters appeared on my cheeck that stung when touched, now they are crusted over and my cheek and jaw are very swollen, my teeth and face hurt on that side.  My gums in back are purplish from the swelling.  I have been on AVelox and xyzal for 48 hours.  The blisters are crusting over now but the swelling has not gone down.  help

I would recommend that you see your dentist for a diagnosis or proper referral to an oral medicine specialist.  If the blisters are on one side or one particular region, it may be shingles but its difficult to diagnose without being present.
