burning penis

by helpme468, Jul 09, 2008 03:39PM
my boyfriend says that everytime he has intercourse with me his penis burns. he says he develops little red bumps at the base of the head and it feels as though his penis is raw and is sensitive to the touch. what do you think this might be and what doctor do you recommend that we go to in order to solve this problem.
thank you

It's probably irritation, not allergy or infection.  I suggest good lubrication before sex, application of over-the-counter 1% hydrocortisone cream afterward, and setting up an appointment with a dermatologist if those measures don't solve the problem.

Take care.
