LAD mild narrow - Advice from forum

by redheart, Jul 08, 2008 10:59PM
I am not active for 14 years with out any excercise due to disability and I am 47 years old male.
I started doing excercise five years ago and felt chest discomfort and Palpatation. Cardiologist order seires of test and results are as follows with year.

2004 - Thallium stress test with GATE spected anylasis - results were normal.
2005/2006/2007 - 2d echo and results were normal and EF was 75 %

He adviced me I have o issue with heart and I can do any form of excercise with in physical diablity permits.
I use to get dizziness and light discomfort in the upper abdomin even after the test. Doctor told me they are not of cardiac nature. I was diognosed with light hital hernia and GERD for which I am talking medication.

Two months back when I started doing excerce like four years agao, I had same symptoms like like light dizziness and ches discomfort what I used to get before. This time doctor asked me to go for CT angio /2 d echo.
2 d echo - normal observation
CT angio ( 64 slice) - mild CAD in LAD and impression is Mild CAD.

Doctor adviced me with medication Lipitor 10 mg/ Palvix 75 mg and askmed to start excercise even I get chest pain
( what he said my body is deconditioned due to long inactivity, I need to start slowly or go for cardiac rehabilitation)
He said CAD is very mild less than 30 % and do not stop excercise due to this issue. he told infact excercise will help you to resolve CAD issue along with medication. I can live a normal life.

I am still worried. Any suggestions

Thanks
Sjose
