Palpitations?

by Jane_16, Jul 08, 2008 01:53PM
I keep getting what feels like a fluttering sensation in my chest. It's right in the middle it feels really strange and when it happens I can't breathe for a few seconds then I'm back to normal. Like the wind is knocked out of me.

I thought at first maybe I inhaled something that was irritating my trachea like maybe it was an allergy to something, but someone said they could be heart palpitations. I'm not completely sure what they are. Also I've been getting them for about 3 days at least 1 every 5 minutes. I also have a bit of a cough. Should I see a GP?

I'm on the pill as well I've heard that can cause high blood pressure. I'm also planning on taking 2 packs in a row as I am going on holiday in a week.

This could be due to an abnormality in heart rhythm. Seeing your GP is agood idea, to discuss this and all other pills you are taking
