Dialated Right Ventrical

I am a 28 year old female who had an ASD repaired last year. The right side of my heart was severely dilated. On my last echo, it showed my right ventricle was still mildly dilated. I am sort of bummed out because I thought by now my heart would be back to normal. I have undergone a lot of stress this year- after my surgery, it was found that I had late stage lyme disease, then my mother died of cancer, and 2 weeks ago my dad just had a stroke. Can all this stress be stopping my heart from getting back to normal? Or does this sort of thing just take some time? I don't smoke, drink alcohol, or caffeine.  Any ideas?
