We are thinking about changing my DD crib to the daybed. She is 19m old. I don't know how to go about doing this. I am afraid she will get up in the middle of the night or in the morning before we do and get into something she shouldn't. But on the other note she is putting her legLeg lengthening/shortening Leg pain Leg pain (osgood-schlatter) Shin splints over the railing (mattress all the way down and rail all the way up). I am afraid one of these days she is going to make it over and hurt herself. How do I keep her in her bed? Any advise would be great. Thanks ahead of time.

That's what I did. We turned the crib around so that the shorter side faced the wall. It was harder to get him in and out but it worked. We were able to keep him in the crib until he was 2 1/2. After that, you may want to put a safetyChild safety seats Home safety Safe driving for teens Safety gate across her door to keep her from wandering around the house at night. And keep some quiet toys in her room that she can play with if she wakes up like books and stuffed animals.
Hope that helps a bit!

Unfortunalty our crib is the same height on both sides. I guess I will just have to put up gates. I am so scared to leave her in the crib. She get about half way up. I don't think it will be long before she makes it over. Thanks for the suggestions.
We were worried about all kinds of things, same as you.
But the thing is, she never got out of bed. She would call for us when she needed us. And if she did get out of bed to read books, etc....she always get right backBack pain - low Back strain treatment in and she would never leave her room...LOL
I think she was a little creeped out.
She is now almost 4 and in a full size bed. Still in the middle of the night, she'll call for us....but if it's morning....she always comes to wake Momma and Dadda before going downstairs and getting into something....

My little guy is 10 months and climbs everything. He climbs his babyBabies and heat rashes Baby feeding patterns gate, So, my thinking is, if you LO is climbing the crib, she'll climb the gate too! lol I would double up on gates (2 high). Worked for our high jumpin' dog! LOL
Hope that helps a bit!
I put my DD in a toddler bed at 19 months too. She did great! We are in a 2nd story so we put gates at the top of the stairs.
