Dr. Downing,
My question is could severe vomiting and diarrhea from food contamination cause pelvic pain this far out from my surgery (4 mo)? I was  vomiting so badly that it was all bile towards the end of it. I was totally pain free for a couple months now and then now all of he sudden i am feeling some pain again. I am hoping it is just from straining from the vomiting and the diarrheah. It lasted a total of 3 days. Please advice.....

Hello,

Hard to know without knowing what kind of surgery you had and where you are having pain.  To be sure you might want to see your surgeon to be examined.  Alternatively, if see how you feel over the next 1-2 weeks.  If better--great!, if not--see your doctor.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing
