by livingdeadgurl, May 21, 2008 10:59PM
i am a type 1 diabetic of 12 years. in april i was hospitalized because of 1 "for sure" heart attack and 2 "possible attacks. they placed a stent in my LAD and said i'm "fixed"... but i am still having chest pain, my left arm hurts and goes numb (it turns red with white spots), i am coughing and have frequent headaches... all of the symptoms i had whild actually having an attack!!!! i know we are not doctors on this site... but has anyone else had this problem without there being an actual problem? i don't want to freak out at every symptom... but when they start to pile up i become frightened!!! help!!!

Chest pain spreading down the left arm is probably a sign of cardiac ischemia. The stent probably corrected one major narrow artery, but there may be other arteries narrowed. Probably the best thing to do is to consult your cardiologist, you may need drugs to relieve the angina.

Wishing you a complete and speedy recovery...
