hi i am a 25 year old heterosexual took trip to vietnam from dec 30-jan 21 i had 4 sexual encounters all were protected THAT I REMEMBER 2 oral and 2 vaginal when i came back to the U.S. 1 week later i started having hot flashes frequent urination and a little burning while urinating no discharge went to doctor did a urine sample i had white blood cells in my urine he sent it out and had it cultured no infection do urine tests detect stds? 3 weeks after i returned from vietnam i starting experencing a stuffy nose very sweaty palms and hot flashes sore groins sore throat i felt very hot in room tempature loss of appetite white coating on my tongue lost of taste heart palpations fatigue, muscle aches i went to my doctor did blood tests for mono, whitebloodcell count, thyroid, sedimintation test show mild inflamation everything else normal. 5 weeks later itchy tiny red dots rash on my hands face back and chest took benadryl it went away 6 weeks tired sinus itchy throat hotflashes sore neck back and legs chest congestion muscle spasm left eyebrow. Now 6 weeks my wife 1 month pregnant broke out with a itchy red rash all over her back chest neck palms of her hands stomach some red lines the rest are raised and blotchy she has a sorethroat congestion cough and chills no fever went to doctor they said she has hives one encounter i was intoxicated the sexworker came to my room we had protected vaginal sex and she stayed the night i am extremely worried because when im a sleep i tend have sex half a sleep and dont even realize it. the other vaginal encounter was protected but when i washed my penis i smelled her vaginal fluids she adjusted my penis during intercourse i am also uncircumsized what are my chances of being infected if i had sleep sex unprotected one time unprotected for less than 10-15 minutes? if i was infected what are the chances i infected my wife? are the symptoms and time frame i am giving you of me and my wife sound like early symptoms of hiv?  im so scared i just noticed a rash on my neck with a raised bump what could this be???

daaaaang...you need to calm down.

we cannot diagnose what your rash is over the internet...and we are not doctors.

as has been told to you before...if you are worried that you had unprotected sex...then test.  that is the only way to know for sure.

do my symptoms sound pretty bad? i just dont know what else it can be my wife called me at work and said she gets these rashes that come and go through out the day and that there was a rash on her whole arm today but its gone now and she said her chest is tight and its hard for her to breath what could this be?

I think your anxiety and possible guilt could be playing with your mind.

If you had protected sex, you were protected so if there was no breakage you did not acquire an STD/nor HIV.

Symptoms are really bad indicators of HIV infection. You may want to have protected sex with the wife and get an STD screening. Like I said, if there was no breakage the chance of catching anything is pretty much 0. If you are unsure, then take a HIV test at 12-13 weeks.

HIV is a fragile virus that is significantly more difficult to transmit from female to male. Goodluck!

Your not alone. There are so many people in your same boat including me and all we can do is wait. I recommend getting tested at 6 weeks most people will seroconvert by then I expect you to test negative. This is a good indicator but should be confirmed at the 12-13 week mark to be conclusive.

You used condoms so you should be okay.

There are some studies that suggest that uncircumsized men are more at risk then circumsized men but I would not focus your attention on this. Focus your attention on the fact that you don't know that your partners were infected and they probably werent

and that you used condoms

and that the odds of infection from female to male is 1 to 2000

I say your odds are not bad at all.
