Scared to Death

I had an ekg the other day and read the printout (by mistake).  It stated "left arterial enlargement".  What does this mean.  I'm 58 and suppose to have hip surgery next week but now am scared to death that there's something wrong w/my heart.

Don't worry too much about the printed diagnosis.  The computers are designed to try and "diagnose" based on general findings.  Rather than rely on the printed DX, ask your doctor for an explanation of the test results.  I wouldn't be at all surprised if it is different from the "words" on the printout.  Best wishes.
