Armour is a natural thyroid medication, not synthetic. It is actual thyroid hormone from pigs (yuck!!) Anyway, it has both T4 and T3 and for some people, that T3 gives them a little bit more energy etc. I haven't noticed a difference yet. With synthroid, even though my blood work showed my numbers as normal, I still wasnt feeling all that well. So the doctor switched me. Have a great day!!

Hi Barbara!! Wanted to thank you for the friend invite!! Looking forward to getting to know ya!! I havent spent much time on the site for the past few weeks trying to get my kids ready for "back to school"!! But now I will have more "me" time to chat! I see that you were just diagnosed with Hypo? I was diagnosed 11-07. I tried the synthroid route but now I am on Armour. Havent noticed a big change yet..... Frustrating, no??? Well, gotta go run to weight watchers. I am not looking forward to it since I have cheated for the last 2 weeks.

Stay optimistic . . . it seems to me this is the longest process of trying to get well, and is quite frustrating. But there is great support here. I myself just found out recently and am still trying to get the correct dose, which is a trial-and-error process that drives me insane!

Thanks for the request. I do not go back to the doctor till january. From the ultrasound it looks like a cyst and that is it. They were going to do a FNA. In january they are going to do another ultrasound. if it looks worse i guess they will do it.

Just wanted to let you know I can relate. If you ever want to talk, you know where to find me. I have been Hypo and now am doing a thyrioditis :( I am 31 and it is just so crapy having a family and being young and having these symptoms. I use to be so active, like tabo active, now somedays I feel like I got hit by a semi. Your labs - should be done every six weeks until you reach a theraputic level, then monitored occasionally and if your symptoms worsen. My TSH was like 7.5 ,but they should not just go by that. Check out the health pages and look up AR-10 and Stella they are the number gurus on our community. Best of luck. Ill be here for you. Red
